Tractive is a GPS tracker. Its job is to tell you where your dog is, right now. Live location, geofence alerts, real-time view in the app. Requires a subscription because it uses a mobile SIM card for location transmission.

PitPat is an activity tracker. Its job is to tell you how much your dog moved, after the fact. Historical data, daily exercise summaries, long-term activity trends. No subscription because it has no mobile transmission — data syncs when the device is near your phone.

Both attach to the collar. Both are marketed as "dog trackers". They solve different problems.
