Dog Product Reviews is reader-supported. If you buy through some links on this site, we may earn an affiliate commission. That helps keep the site running, but it does not change how products are selected, ranked or criticised.

In plain English: if you click through and buy something, this site may earn a commission. That helps pay for hosting, research time and ongoing updates. It does not mean products can buy a better recommendation.

If a product is badly designed, overpriced, awkward to fit or clearly second-best for the use case, we say so. The whole point of the site is to help people avoid buying the wrong thing first, not to push whichever listing happens to pay.

What affiliate links do not change

• They do not guarantee inclusion in a guide.
• They do not improve a product’s ranking on a page.
• They do not remove the need to mention weaknesses and trade-offs.

If a guide includes affiliate links, the editorial aim stays the same: explain which products suit which dogs and where the compromises are before anyone clicks out.

Merchants and tracking

Most monetised links currently use Amazon Associates. Selected guides may also link to a manufacturer or another retailer, either directly or through an affiliate network such as Awin. A direct link that is not monetised is kept marked as non-affiliate in the site data and does not receive sponsored-link treatment.

We record the originating page, named product, merchant, affiliate network and button placement in cookie-free Ahrefs Web Analytics and, where a reader has accepted analytics cookies, in GA4. This helps compare reader usefulness and earnings per click without changing the editorial order of the products.
